RYA Youth Sailing Stage 3
Sailing well rather than sailing at all, in more wind than Stage 2 allowed.
Stage 3 is where the youth scheme starts asking for quality.

Many young sailors join a club racing fleet at about this point. Racing teaches boat handling faster than any course, because the feedback is immediate and public.
